Pre-operation group photograph A few days ago, a civillian airliner which was AirSlow Indonesia Flight 345 has crash landed on the Jayawijaya Mountains, which has the highest peak point in the whole Indonesian Archipelago. Early report suggests that all people onboard survived the crash landing, because of this, the 4th Aerial Wing "Scorpions" responded to the incident by sending an MV-22B Osprey VTOL Transport Aircraft, callsign Giant Scorpion One One to rescue the survivors of the crash. Colonel Arie "Fiona" Wiranto flying the MV-22B Osprey alongside Commander Faza "Talon" Abel in his F/A-18FX Super Hornet But a day before the scheduled rescue operation begun, there were reports that 4th Aerial Wing "Scorpions"' PAVE PAWS radar station located on Biak Island has detected air-to-air missile launches at almost the same time when the AirSlow Indonesia aircraft lost its contact with ground controllers. Eye witnesses also reported that they saw two fighter jets firing air-to-air missiles towards the AirSlow Indonesia aircraft. Our intel feed also suggested that those fighter jets may belong to the Ghettonian Air Force, a part of a new coup-de-etat based country named the Ghettonian Republic that aims to overtake the whole Indonesian Archipelago from the Republic of Indonesia which turned out also the party that's responsible for the overtook of an airbase near Poso, Central Celebes and ambushed 4th Aerial Wing "Scorpions" aircrafts last week. Sergeant David "SabreCat" Dixon flying his Mirage 2000-5F alongside Commander Faza "Talon" Abel in his F/A-18FX Super Hornet Because of that, the high-ranked officers of the air wing decided to include a flight of fighter jets to escort the MV-22B Osprey, which was the Black Scorpions One Flight. The flights took off from Jayapura International Airport, West Papua, Indonesia at around 02:00AM Zulu Time and headed west towards Timika for a refueling stop before heading towards Jayawijaya Mountains. Colonel Dragon "Daishi" Mech flying his F-15E Block IV+ Daishi Eagle A few moments before reaching Timika, Colonel Dragon "Daishi" Mech's aircraft suffered some mechanical issues and needed to do an emergency landing at Timika Regional Airport. He was replaced by Lieutenant Junior Grade Farrell "Blyatmir" Daffa for the rest of the operation. Colonel Arie "Fiona" Wiranto in the MV-22B Osprey had to be replaced by Lieutenant Junior Grade Thomas "Cooker" Siahaan at Timika because he got something else to do in real-life. The transit took around only 15 minutes to refuel all the planes and replace the pilot of the MV-22B Osprey. Lieutenant Junior Grade Thomas "Cooker" Siahaan taking the controls of the MV-22B Osprey after a refueling stop at Timika Regional Airport And then, just like what've been expected, multiple unknown radar contacts appeared on all of the Black Scorpions One's aircrafts' radar screens after the refueling stop is completed. At first there were only 2 aircrafts, but many more were coming. Commander Faza "Talon" Abel decided to "soft lock" them, but they replied by firing multiple air-to-air missiles towards the 4th Aerial Wing "Scorpions" aircrafts. At first there were only 2 jets, but those b*stards keep coming and they opened fire towards us, so sh*t really hit the fan at this point Sergeant David "SabreCat" Dixon shooting down a Ghettonian Air Force JAS-39C Gripen with his 20mm DEFA cannons in his Mirage 2000-5F A massive aerial battle cannot be avoided, tens of Ghettonian Air Force fighter jets keep coming and outnumbering Black Scorpions One Flight three to one. At one point there were more than 20 Ghettonian Air Force fighter jets that were engaging Black Scorpions One Flight while some of them were trying to shoot down Giant Scorpion One One. The early part of the battle, taken from ground The Ghettonian Air Force fighter jets were coming waves after waves. At some points, some of the Black Scorpions One Flight's aircrafts need to land to refuel and rearm their weapons, that was where the battle got more intense. One by one, each aircraft landed, refuel, rearm, and take off from Timika Regional Airport while the others covered the ones who were landing. Lieutenant Junior Grade Farrell "Blyatmir" Daffa shooting down a Ghettonian Air Force fighter jet with an R-77 Adder missile in his Su-35S Flanker-E At one part, Giant Scorpion One One was ambushed and almost got shot down, luckily some of the Black Scorpions One Flight's fighter jets came to cover Giant Scorpion One One and successfuly shot down the intercepting Ghettonian Air Force fighter jets. I was keeping my eye to the terrain to not crash to it when suddenly the hell's bells ( radar warning receiver / missile warning radar ) rang. Some air-to-air missiles were fired to Giant Scorpions One One by the intercepting Ghettonian Air Force fighter jets, but luckily all missed. Commander Faza "Talon" Abel shooting down a Ghettonian Air Force F-5E Tiger II that was intercepting Giant Scorpion One One in his F/A-18FX Super Hornet After a long battle, all Ghettonian Air Force fighter jets that were in the area were shot down, with kill counts by Black Scorpions One Flight exceeding 50 air-to-air kills. All Black Scorpions One Flight fighter jets were either moderately or heavily damaged due to the very intense fight. Commander Faza "Talon" Abel and Sergeant David "SaberCat" Dixon were the ones who achieved most kills, they shot down more than 10 Ghettonian Air Force fighter jets during the operation. The aerial battle scene, taken from miles away After all fighters were shot down, Giant Scorpion One One proceeded to land on the slopes of Jayawijaya Mountains to rescue the survivors of the AirSlow Indonesia aircraft. It took two sorties from Timika Regional Airport to the crash site to rescue all of the survivors. Giant Scorpion One One going to land at the slopes of Jayawijaya Mountains In total there were 45 survivors that were rescued by Giant Scorpion One One, while the rest were rescued by the Indonesian Search and Rescue Teams.
