Lieutenant Aryo "Knight" Putra taking-off in his Su-35S Flanker-E On Saturday, October 13th, 2018, the 4th Aerial Wing "Scorpions" did a Dissimilar Air Combat Training ( DACT ) session on Iswahjudi Air Force Base. The training session was commenced to polish 4th Aerial Wing "Scorpions"' pilots' air-to-air combat skills, especially in terms of dogfighting. It was also commenced to increase combat-readiness & capabilities of the 4th Aerial Wing "Scorpions", which in a few days time, will commence a huge assault to Jakarta, which had been previously overtaken by the Ghettonian Republic. Lieutenant Commander Febri "Mayer" Susanto trying to shake-off an aggressor fighter jet in his F-15E Strike Eagle During the exercise, the pilots were divided into 2 teams, the first team, acting as a defender, was tasked to defend Iswahjudi Air Force Base from incoming aerial attacks, while the second team, acting as an aggressor, was tasked to destroy Iswahjudi Air Force Base. To make the training situation more difficult, there were no aerial defences ready to shoot down the aggressors on Iswahjudi Air Force Base, and both of the aggressor and defender pilots were not allowed to use any types of air-to-air missiles during the exercise, so "guns-only" fights happened. Captain Thomas "Cooker" Siahaan in a "Scissors" fight with one of the aggressor fighter jets in his T-X The exercise was divided into two rounds, which on the first round, the aggressor team won the fight, while on the second one, the defender team won the fight. During the first fight, the aggressor team won the fight because of the aggressor pilots had higher air-to-air combat skills ( I, The Second Maverick, was one of the aggressors :p ) than the defender pilots, so one by one, although got outnumbered roughly three to two, the aggressing team managed to "shoot down" all of the defending fighter jets in many different ways, such as in "Scissors" fights, "Hit-n'-Run" fights, and many more. Furball fights between the aggressing and defending teams But the tides turned during the second round, utilizing teamwork, the defender team managed to "shoot down" almost all of the aggressing fighter jets by "luring" the aggressing fighters into a trap, one of the aggressor fighter jets had to leave the battlespace during the fight due to very low amount of fuel left in the tanks, making the defending team won the second round. Lieutenant Commander Febri "Mayer" Susanto "tailgating" one of the aggressor fighter jets in his F-15E Strike Eagle I was tasked to "defend" the airfield from incoming aerial attacks, at first, I thought the aggressing pilots fly like those Ghettonian Air Force pilots, which you know, don't have the words of "teamwork" and "gun-fighting" in their heads, but when I got into the "fight", damn, these guys were good. I instantly got "shot down" on the first fight, but during the second one, we managed to "bait" those aggressing fighter jets and I was the one who scored the first kill during the second fight, hehehe. Here are some extra photo shots that were taken during the exercise :
